Some materials simply refuse to give up their compounds quickly. They have high mass-transfer resistance, their target molecules diffuse out slowly, and they reward patience: the longer the extraction, the more you recover. The problem is that on a conventional system, longer cycles mean fewer batches per day. You either accept lower yields or accept lower output. ECOP removes that compromise.
From SCP to ECOP: building on a proven logic
ECOP is the Extended Continuous Overlapping Process, the strategy at the heart of our quadruple-chamber configuration. It is the natural evolution of an idea that scales step by step. It begins with the Semi-Continuous Process, where two extraction vessels work in tandem, one under extraction while the other is unloaded and reloaded, so that dead times between extractions disappear. The Continuous Overlapping Process extends that principle to three chambers and underpins the efficiency of the Triple configuration. ECOP takes the final step, applying the same overlapping logic across four extraction chambers.
The fourth chamber: time without sacrifice
The power of ECOP lies in what that fourth chamber makes possible. Hard-to-extract materials release their target compounds slowly, so they call for longer cycles, but on a three-chamber system, every extra minute of cycle time costs you daily output.
With four chambers, the additional cycle time is absorbed rather than paid for. The system runs cycles up to one-third longer than a triple-extractor unit while delivering the same daily throughput as a three-chamber configuration. The production calendar stays intact, even as each batch is given the time it needs.
Engineered for difficult matrices
This is why ECOP is chosen for difficult matrices. It was selected not to maximize raw throughput, but to deliver something more valuable: the ability to run extended extraction cycles on demanding matrices without sacrificing daily output.
